The programme of the symposium is mainly about finishing the research project ‘Learning an instrument at an advanced age’. This research was conducted by the research group Lifelong Learning in Music & the Arts (Prince Claus Conservatoire, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen) within the research strand ‘Healthy Ageing through Music & the Arts’.
Professonal sector in development and new opportunities for music teachers
The objective of the research project is to further the development of teaching the elderly, and to make this knowledge available for the professional practice. The project is financed by the RAAK programme small businesses of Stichting Innovatie Alliantie (SIA).
